Cell-Free DNA Collection Tubes (cfDNA BCT)

XINLE Cell-Free DNA Collection Tubes (cfDNA BCT) are specialized blood collection tubes designed for the preservation and transportation of circulating cell-free DNA (cfDNA) and circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA). Utilizing a non-toxic, formaldehyde-free stabilization formula, these tubes prevent nucleated cell lysis and inhibit nuclease degradation, keeping cfDNA stable in whole blood for more than 7 days at room temperature.

Product Overview

Manufactured in ISO 13485-certified facilities and CE marked, XINLE Cell-Free DNA Collection Tubes provide an advanced pre-analytical solution for molecular diagnostics, liquid biopsy, and Non-Invasive Prenatal Testing (NIPT).

Standard EDTA tubes stabilize whole blood for only a few hours before white blood cells lyse and release massive genomic DNA (gDNA), diluting fragile target cfDNA. Our proprietary stabilizer prevents white blood cell rupture and inhibits plasma DNase activity, eliminating the need for immediate cold-chain transport or urgent on-site centrifugation.

Core Features & Proprietary Stabilization Advantages

  • >7 Days Room Temperature Stability: Preserves circulating cell-free DNA in whole blood for more than 7 days at ambient temperature, greatly expanding the pre-analytical testing window.
  • Biomimetic Membrane Protection: Proprietary formulation stabilizes nucleated blood cell membranes, preventing white blood cell lysis and background genomic DNA (gDNA) contamination.
  • Active Nuclease Inhibition: Effectively suppresses plasma DNase and RNase degradation, maintaining the native integrity and fragmentation profile of circulating DNA.
  • Formaldehyde-Free & Non-Toxic: Free of formaldehyde, phenol, or harsh cross-linking fixatives, ensuring uncompromised DNA extraction yield and high-fidelity PCR/NGS library construction.
  • Certified Cleanliness: Tubes are sterile, pyrogen-free, DNase-free, and RNase-free.
  • Universal Downstream Compatibility: Preserved specimens are fully compatible with mainstream magnetic bead and column-based cfDNA extraction kits and automated liquid handling platforms.

Clinical & Molecular Diagnostic Applications

XINLE cfDNA collection tubes are widely utilized across clinical oncology, reproductive health, and translational research:

  • Non-Invasive Prenatal Testing (NIPT): Preserving fetal cfDNA from maternal peripheral blood for fetal chromosomal aneuploidy screening (e.g., Trisomy 21, 18, and 13).
  • Oncology Liquid Biopsy & ctDNA: Collecting circulating tumor DNA for early cancer screening, targeted therapy companion diagnostics, minimal residual disease (MRD) monitoring, and drug resistance tracking.
  • Organ Transplant Monitoring: Detecting donor-derived cell-free DNA (dd-cfDNA) for early non-invasive graft rejection surveillance.
  • Infectious Disease Pathogen Detection: Cell-free microbial DNA sampling for metagenomic next-generation sequencing (mNGS) and targeted sequencing workflows.
  • Clinical Research: Biomarker discovery and genomic stability studies in biobanks and clinical research organizations (CROs).

How to Use cfDNA Collection Tubes

Follow these clinical and laboratory handling guidelines to guarantee sample integrity:

  1. Blood Draw: Perform routine venipuncture using a standard venous blood collection needle.
  2. Fill Volume: Ensure the tube fills completely to the designated vacuum draw volume (5 mL, 9 mL, or 10 mL) to maintain the exact blood-to-stabilizer ratio.
  3. Immediate Inversion Mixing: Gently invert the tube 8 to 10 times immediately after blood draw to thoroughly blend the blood with the pre-loaded stabilizer. (Do not shake vigorously).
  4. Ambient Storage & Transport: Store and transport samples at ambient room temperature. No cold packs, dry ice, or immediate plasma separation are required during shipping.

Frequently Asked Questions

A: Regular EDTA tubes contain only an anticoagulant. Within a few hours at room temperature, white blood cells in whole blood begin to lyse and release large amounts of genomic DNA (gDNA), which contaminates and dilutes the low-abundance target cfDNA. XINLE cfDNA collection tubes are pre-loaded with proprietary stabilization reagents that reinforce white blood cell membranes and inhibit nucleases, keeping cfDNA stable at room temperature for over 7 days without background gDNA leakage.

A: Gently invert the tube 8 to 10 times immediately after collection. Thorough inversion ensures the pre-loaded K2EDTA and stabilization reagents completely dissolve into the blood sample, initiating cellular stabilization immediately.
